Sustainable Agriculture

Agricultural Challenges

The Albertine region’s farming communities face unique challenges, including climate variability, soil degradation, and limited access to modern agricultural technologies. Smallholder farmers in Hoima, Buliisa, and Kikuube districts struggle with declining crop yields, while youth often perceive agriculture as unprofitable despite the region’s rich agricultural potential.

Our Solution

Golden Trove Youth Initiative promotes climate-smart agriculture & agribusiness for youth in Hoima & Albertine Region. Support local farming communities & food security. GTYI’s agricultural programs are specifically designed for improving welfare of our communities as well as boosting the economy of the region through youth participation.
