Our focus areas include promoting access to education, advocating for sexual reproductive health rights, improving water sanitation and hygiene practices, and enhancing livelihood opportunities for the youth.
In Hoima District and across Uganda’s Albertine region, educational disparities are particularly pronounced. While the region experiences economic activity from oil exploration, local communities face significant barriers to quality education. School dropout rates remain high, especially among girls, and many youth lack access to vocational training that matches the region’s emerging economic opportunities. Infrastructure limitations and teacher shortages further compound these challenges in remote areas of Buliisa, Kikuuba, and Masindi districts.
