Our focus areas include promoting access to education, advocating for sexual reproductive health rights, improving water sanitation and hygiene practices, and enhancing livelihood opportunities for the youth.
Across Uganda, childhoods are being cut short as girls face the dual threats of early marriage and teenage pregnancy. The statistics paint a troubling picture—25% of Ugandan girls become teenage mothers, often ending their education and limiting their future opportunities. Child marriage remains a persistent problem, robbing girls of their childhood and exposing them to health risks and domestic violence. These challenges are compounded by limited access to sexual reproductive health information and cultural norms that perpetuate harmful practices, leaving girls vulnerable and without support systems.
Your support enables us to implement comprehensive programs that protect girls and empower them to determine their own futures. Your donation funds age-appropriate sexual reproductive health education in schools and communities, breaking down myths and providing accurate information. It supports menstrual health initiatives that provide reusable pads and private washing facilities in schools, ensuring girls can continue their education with dignity. Your contribution also strengthens our community advocacy efforts, engaging parents and cultural leaders in dialogues to end harmful practices. Through peer education programs, we train young people to educate their peers about SRH rights in trusted, relatable environments, while also providing crisis support and counseling for girls at immediate risk of early marriage.
